HOW LOCKWOOD DESIGN CO. STARTED
After over 10 years as a graphic designer and creative manager for corporations and agencies serving fortune 500 companies. I found that every client or company I worked with always needed quality graphic design support to fill gaps internally and externally in their business. However, they either didn’t have the budget to hire an experienced full-time designer or they would work with an agency that could never quite support them in the way they needed.
I believe this was because of miscommunication. The company that outsourced their design to an agency had to communicate with project managers, who then relayed information to a designer. The interpretation gets lost, therefore the end result misses the mark and their wants and needs were never truly met in the way they could have been if working directly with an experienced designer.

When off the clock, my other title is “Mama” to two wonderful little boys. They are my biggest motivation for starting Shannon Lockwood Design Co. and to set the example that with hard work you can pursue your dreams and bring them to life. Being a mom has taught me just how valuable time is and to become strategic of how I use my time each day to juggle my business, motherhood and time with my family.

Working from my home office means that our beloved family pet Apollo may sneak into Zoom meetings. He gets real social when he hears other voices and wants to say hi! But hey – who doesn’t love a sweet cuddly face to brighten their day?
